Stabbing Incident

LAKEWOOD, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 25, 2019) - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Mauswagon, Barangay Tubod, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:15 PM of February 24, 2019.

The victim identified as Jessie Recaña y Magdadaro, 35 years old, married, farmer and resident of Purok Bagong Lipunan, Tubod, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect identified as Wilfredo Magdadaro y Dabalos, 53 years old, married, farmer and resident of Purok Mountain View, Barangay Bolisong, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The victim allegedly stabbed by his uncle the suspect with the use of gaff or locally known as “Bulang” and upon arrival of the responding PNP elements of Lakewood MPS at the area of incident, the said victim was already brought to Hemillarin Hospital, Pagadian City while the suspect voluntarily surrender to Hon. Arnel Pano, Barangay Captain of Tubod, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur before it was turned-over to the responding team.

The suspect is now under custody of Lakewood MPS for proper disposition.

Vehicular Traffic Accident

LAKEWOOD, Zambaonga del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) - Vehicular accident transpired along the national highway of Purok 2, Brgy Tubod, Lakewood, Zambaonga del Sur4:20 PM of December 12, 2018.

The vehicular accident was involving one (1) Fuso Fighter Truck with plate# 070110 registered under the name of Aison Surplus and Auto Parts Corp. and driven by a certain Ruben Supat y Anghag, 43 years old, married, male, Filipino with licensed # K09-95-003032, together with Janbryan Rupinta y Supat 18 years old, single, male, Filipino, truck-man of said truck both resident of Prk 2, Brgy Tubid, Ozamis City and Delber Moῆeza y Esito 38 years old, single, male, Filipino, Delivery Sales Personnel (DSP) of Elim Agricultural Supply located at Lam-an, Ozamis City and a resident of Prk 6, Brgy Villa, Ozamis City.

They were traversing along national highway from Ozamis City heading towards Ipil, Zamboanga Sebugay. That upon reaching Prk 2, Brgy Tubod, Lake Wood, Zamboanga del Sur particularly at the curve area, the air brake of said truck was exploded and fall down at said highway and slides over 20 meters until it was overshot at the canal.

The said driver and two other occupants of said truck have no injury sustained but the truck incurred damages estimated up to One Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php100, 000.00).

Mauling Incident

LAKEWOOD, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 4. 2018) - Mauling incident transpired at Purok 7, Brgy. Poblacion, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 PM of December 03, 2018.

Victim was identified as Dionisio Panang y Malayan, 57 years old, married, resident of Prk.8, Brgy. Poblacion, Lakewood.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the said victim was mauled to death by certain Juny Ungang y Gunaan, 32 years old, widower, resident of Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City.

Victim sustained one (1) wound at his forehead causing his instantaneous death as declared by the medical team of Lakewood Rural Health Unit.

After the incident, suspect fled towards Purok 14, Poblacion, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur and believed to had been abscond to the hinterland of Brgy. Suminalum, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur. Motive of the incident is personal grudge.

2 Most Wanted Person Arrested

LAKEWOOD, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 24, 2018) – The Combined operatives of Lakewood MPS, Zamboanga del Sur and Siayan MPS, Zamboanga del Norte arrested two wanted persons during the conduct of law enforcement operation at Penolis, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:45pm of October 23, 2018.

The operating team arrested the two wanted person identified as:

Junrel Landong Dayna, aka “Junjun” 35 years old, married, Filipino, Elementary Level and a farmer by occupation, Top No.: 5 Most Wanted Person-Municipal Level; and

Teofilo Melian Dayna, 67 years old, married, Filipino, Elementary Level, and a farmer by occupation, Other Wanted Person Category, both with residence at Purok 2, Penolis, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The two suspects was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge of Branch 2, Regional Trial Court, Ninth Judicial Region, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte dated March 6, 2018 for “Murder” docketed under Criminal Case No.: S-5727 with no bail recommended.

The Arrested persons were now detained at Katipunan MPS for proper disposition.

Drug Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY,  Zamboanga del Sur (July 14, 2018) - The PNP elements of Lakewood Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination to Pagadian City Police Station arrested one illegal drug personality during the conduct of  manhunt operation at Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City at about 1:00pm of July 19, 2018.

Police identified the arrested person as Juram Limo Y Risada, 38 years old, male, married, janitor worker and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Baking, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case No.11803-2K14 issued by Hon. Dennis P. Vicoy, Presiding judge of RTC Branch 20, Pagadian City dated March 9, 2017 with bail bond recommended of forty thousand pesos (Php40, 000.00).

The arrested wanted person is now under the custody of Lakewood MPS for proper disposition. (By JONG CADION)

Father raped his 13-year-old daughter arrested

LAKEWOOD, Zamboanga del Sur (May 2, 2018) – A 41-year-old Father sexually molested his 13 year old biological daughter was arrested by the responding policemen in the municipality of Lakewood in this province Tuesday at about 2:00pm.

Lakewood Municipal Police Station Chief Senior Inspector Avelmar Renan U. Garambas identified the suspect as Rolando Umban Lumampad, 41 years old, married and resident of Purok 6, Barangay Kahayag in the said municipality.

PSInsp. Garambas said the responding police conducted immediately police operation  and successfully arrested the suspect after his daughter personally reported the incident at the police station yesterday at about 10:00am.

In the initial investigation conducted disclosed that allegedly the suspect sexually molested the victim on April 30, 2018 around 9:00pm inside the house of the suspect of said place, PSInsp. Garambas added.

The suspect is now temporary detained at Lakewood MPS while appropriate case for rape in relation to RA 7610 is now being prepared for filing in court. (By Jong Cadion)
